One of the Boys

“I don’t like him and I never will.”  Petra’s words concerning Dane Kingston proved mistaken as time passed.  For he could both enrage and arouse her by turns.  Petra had worked hard to achieve the equality she had with the male cameramen.  Even if Dane was the show’s producer, he had no right to destroy her relationship with the crew.  But she still couldn’t resist his rugged attractiveness, nor ignore the fact that his well-publicized affair with the show’s star, Ruby Gale, filled her with jealousy!

“You are always making me angry.”  Cane moved closer.  “The next time I do,” he murmured, “why don’t you try kissing me?  I guarantee it will shut me up.”  Bending his head, he moved his mouth powerfully against her own, parting her lips and invading them with a hot sweetness.  A whirl of confused sensation began taking over Petra’s body.  “Why did you make me think I was so incompetent?”  She whispered breathlessly.  “I couldn’t tolerate anything but the best from you because I knew you could give it to me.  You could always give it to me.”  There was the heady implication that he was referring to more than her work.  As his hands glided slowly down her shoulders, Petra struggled for some semblance of control before it was too late…
